Responsibilities

• Technical delivery of drainage designs, stormwater management plans, and hydraulic assessments for local council clients and major infrastructure projects
• Provide specialised input into hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using Civil3D, 12D, TUFLOW, DRAINS, URBS, RORB, XP-Rafts and WBNM
• Develop practical and innovative solutions to drainage, flooding, and water quality challenges
• Produce high-quality technical and non-technical reports
• Support project teams through technical guidance, mentoring, and quality assurance
• Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to provide trusted technical advice and contribute to winning work
• Ensure alignment with Australian standards and guidelines
• Contribute to technical excellence initiatives and stay current with tools, methodologies, and regulatory changes

Key requirements

• Proven Drainage/Flood Modelling experience (5–15+ years)
• RPEQ or ability to apply for RPEQ preferred
• Experience planning, hydraulic assessment and design of stormwater and drainage networks or hydrologic modelling
• Strong software skills: Civil3D or 12D, TUFLOW, URBS and XP-Rafts or similar tools, QGIS and/or ArcGIS
• Strong capability across underground and surface water drainage systems
• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects in a consulting or multidisciplinary environment
• Proven technical leadership, design review, and mentoring abilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with clients
• Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery principles
