Machine Learning Engineer, Global Public Sector

Overview

In this role, you will build and deploy AI models that serve public sector clients, bridging research and production. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to design models, generate high-quality training data, and scale AI capabilities for government use. You will address real-world challenges by applying state-of-the-art techniques to vision and language tasks, with a focus on impact and reliability. Responsibilities

• Partner with public sector counterparts to understand their challenges
• Apply the latest research to design custom models or model chains
• Collaborate with data annotation teams to create high-quality training datasets
• Train, optimize, and deploy models in production environments
• Develop and maintain robust evaluation systems
• Participate in customer engagements, including occasional travel
• Contribute to scaling AI capabilities through hands-on knowledge sharing

Key requirements

• 5+ years in computer vision and/or language model training, deployment, evaluation, and maintenance in production
• Master’s or equivalent work experience
• Software engineering proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, C++ or similar
