Manufacturing Operative

Overview

As a Manufacturing Operator you will directly produce Magnetics-based products to exacting specifications. You’ll operate in a quality‑driven, aerospace‑standard environment, supporting timely output while aiming for zero defects. You will contribute to continuous improvement within a zero-harm culture and work closely with the manufacturing team to meet schedule needs. This role sits at the heart of our Barnstaple site, helping deliver safe, reliable electronics for critical applications. Responsibilities

• Follow detailed build instructions to achieve high accuracy
• Produce products within costed timeframes
• Operate in a Quality Accredited environment following General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls
• Maintain zero tolerance to defects
• Drive continuous improvement and an improvements culture
• Adhere to zero harm/safety practices in all activities

Key requirements

• Manufacturing winding/soldering/assembly/wiring to internal drawings and schedules
• Experience in Aerospace or similar industry
• Experience in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience with ERP/Shop booking systems
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player to satisfy schedules
• Accreditations in IPC 610/620 JSTD Soldering or ESA/ECSS
