Deputy Head of Healthcare

Overview

In this role, you will support the Head of Healthcare to manage daily operations at HMP Thameside, a category B remand prison in London. You will lead evidence-based, patient-centered care while ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance. You will inspire and develop a multi-disciplinary team, strengthening relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet commissioner expectations. Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, patient-centered care informed by feedback to place patient engagement at the core of service delivery
• Oversee day-to-day operational service delivery and ensure data integrity to meet commissioner expectations
• Deliver compassionate, safe, high-quality care aligned with CQC requirements within the financial framework
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and statutory responsibilities while driving service excellence
• Inspire and lead the team, cultivating trust and pride in the service among stakeholders
• Support continuous professional development and cross-functional collaboration within the wider team
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective working relationships and governance

Key requirements

• Degree or clinical qualification or equivalent level of experience
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience working with CQC or HMIP or equivalent registered services
• Experience in client management or meeting commissioner expectations
• Experience developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of clinical governance
