Overview

In this role you will build technical capability across UK manufacturing sites, driving loss elimination and ensuring consistent deployment of operational standards. You will coach teams, lead problem-solving efforts, and partner with cross-functional groups to improve performance and governance. You’ll analyse site data to identify waste and support major change initiatives, shaping reliable, safe, and efficient operations. This position offers Impact through cross-site standardization and continuous improvement within a mission-driven manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop site teams’ technical capability by coaching leaders and closing performance gaps
• Deliver and facilitate technical training aligned with competency frameworks and sign-off processes
• Analyse site data to identify waste and prioritise loss-elimination opportunities
• Lead problem-solving teams to remove losses and strengthen problem-solving skills
• Support major change projects with technical input and ensure successful implementation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align standards and ways of working
• Conduct site-level governance activities and support improvement action plans
• Reinforce discipline through health checks and alignment to operational standards across technologies
• Review data insights with management and prepare reports to drive continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Strong technical knowledge with optional formal validation
• Data fluency and ability to derive actionable insights
• Experience with structured problem-solving methods (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences
• Proactive, self-motivated, capable in complex environments
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with experience developing specialists
• Understanding of performance systems and audit processes
