Tenant Researcher, CoStar – London

Overview

In this role you will investigate and profile leasing activity and occupiers across the UK, primarily leveraging HM Land Registry data. You’ll help owners, brokers, and real estate professionals identify suitable tenants and provide up-to-date occupier profiles. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to enhance the CoStar property database and support data-driven decision making. This position offers training and the opportunity to develop subject matter expertise in commercial real estate.

Responsibilities

• Download and review lease documents from recent transactions and extract key data to summarize leasing activity for properties
• Research and verify building ownership and sale data from HM Land Registry filings to enrich the database
• Profile occupiers through phone interviews with tenants, owners, and real estate professionals
• Conduct web research to complete comprehensive tenant profiles and identify decision-makers
• Document tenant movements across the UK and maintain accurate tenant rosters for buildings
• Investigate new property and tenant leads from multiple sources (news, agent deals, third-party data)
• Research and profile corporate hierarchies

Key requirements
