Web & Digital Analytics Specialist – Player Journeys

Overview

In this contract role, you lead the end-to-end PostHog rollout across websites and desktop apps to enable reliable product, analytics, and engineering insights. You own onboarding and data quality, bridging engineering with business intelligence. You will automate analytics processes to scale insights organization-wide and define standards for instrumentation. This is a hands-on, autonomous position shaping a major company-wide initiative at Jagex.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PostHog implementation across websites and desktop apps, defining event schemas, identifying gaps, and ensuring accurate data collection.
• Instrument full user onboarding and reboarding journeys, configuring events, visits, retention metrics, and player actions across platforms.
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure correct and consistent PostHog integration.
• Configure PostHog for business users across product, analytics, and engineering with accessible, reliable, and well-documented setups.
• Build automated tooling to scale analytics insights and reduce manual analysis, enabling faster decision-making.
• Collaborate with analysts to establish standards, close instrumentation gaps, and maintain data quality throughout the engagement.

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience implementing analytics platforms (PostHog or equivalent).
• Experience with analytics platforms such as Contentsquare, Heap, or Hotjar.
• Experience building workflow automation tooling to scale analytics or insights.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to read/interpret JavaScript for analytics implementation and event validation.
• Proven ability to work directly with engineering teams and coordinate implementation details.
• Self-directed, proactive with the ability to drive mid-flight implementations to completion.
