Mechanical Engineer – East London – Data Centre

Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer on a new-build Data Centre, you will contribute to delivering high-spec mechanical systems within a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. You’ll work closely with the project team to plan, review, and install mechanical packages, ensuring quality and safety. You’ll solve technical challenges and support commissioning across a multidisciplinary team, shaping reliable data centre infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination and installation of mechanical services packages
• Review technical submittals, drawings and specifications
• Support on-site engineering activities, quality checks and commissioning
• Liaise with the wider project team, subcontractors and client representatives
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and industry standards
• Provide technical solutions to engineering challenges throughout the build

Key requirements

• 3–5 years’ mechanical engineering experience (MEP or building services preferred)
• Previous involvement in large-scale commercial, industrial or data centre projects is advantageous
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plant, etc.)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team
