Overview
As a Game Designer, you design core loops, mechanics, and gameplay systems that leverage AI in ways previously impossible. You collaborate with researchers, engineers, and designers to turn abstract AI capabilities into engaging prototypes and player experiences. You lead design workshops, explore AI applications across genres, and translate high-level tech into elegant player interactions. This role blends creative design with cutting-edge AI in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and iterate on interactive proofs-of-concept using traditional game engines and generative AI
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and designers to achieve project goals
- Lead design workshops and brainstorming sessions to identify AI-based game ideas
- Translate AI capabilities into compelling game mechanics and player loops
- Design core gameplay systems and ensure a tangible player experience through iteration
- Advocate show-don’t-tell by turning AI capabilities into tangible prototypes
- Collaborate to map system dynamics and define player agency across projects
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in game design, including at least one shipped title
- Experience architecting agentic workflows and implementing generative AI models in game or software pipelines
- Experience leading experimental design projects or R&D initiatives
- Experience with UI/UX systems focusing on accessibility and cognitive load management
- Experience prototyping with industry engines (Unity, Unreal) or scripting languages (C#, Python)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
