Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of adults with severe mental health difficulties
- Conduct high-quality assessments and care planning
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic and psychosocial interventions
- Build therapeutic relationships with service users, families and carers
- Assess and manage risk and support during crises
- Coordinate care with health, social care and community partners
- Contribute to safeguarding processes and support vulnerable adults
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to junior colleagues
- Participate in service improvement, audits and development initiatives
- Champion recovery-focused, person-centred care and drive meaningful outcomes
Key requirements
- Qualified and registered RMN, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist
- Current registration with relevant professional body
- Evidence of post-qualifying professional development in an acute setting
- Significant post-registration experience in multi-disciplinary community mental health services
- Experience in risk management and crisis handling
- Experience with assessment, care planning, development and evaluation with clients and carers
- Knowledge of working with people with mental health problems
- Desirable: experience of mental health difficulties
