Consultant/Senior/Principal/Associate Consultant – Waste and Resources Management

Overview

In this role you will support the Responsible Consumption and Production team to enhance and broaden waste management advisory services. You will lead and contribute to projects across options appraisal, waste flow modelling, and procurement input, partnering with public and private sector clients. You will help develop business cases, support bids, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities

• Lead and/or deliver options appraisals and associated analyses
• Support waste flow and cost modelling activities
• Develop business cases for service delivery or changes in collection methods
• Provide technical procurement input and documentation support
• Contribute to proposals and winning-work initiatives
• Mentor junior staff and maintain client care standards
• Draft comprehensive reports and present findings to stakeholders
• Develop robust, innovative methodologies for client-focused service delivery
• Build and maintain client networks and contribute to pipeline development
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver varied projects in line with firm policies

Key requirements

• Previous consultancy experience in waste management projects
• Experience with options appraisal (qualitative and quantitative)
• Experience with waste flow and cost modelling
• Proficiency in drafting technical procurement documents and tenders
• Understanding of UK resources and waste legislation and policy
• Strong teamwork and knowledge-sharing, with proactive problem solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication and time management
• Degree in a relevant subject, preferably science, environment or engineering
