Banking Job – Japanese speaking RM Support Officer – London

Overview

In this role you will support Relationship Managers serving Japanese corporate clients from a London-based team. You will prepare financial analyses, conduct company research, and assist with loans, deposits, and FX activities. You will participate in client meetings with senior RMs and help develop client relationships. You will ensure accurate data handling and regulatory compliance to support scalable servicing of corporate clients. This is a hybrid, permanent opportunity with a focus on high-quality, cross-cultural banking support.

Responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers in servicing Japanese corporate clients
• Prepare financial analyses, company research, credit reviews and business proposals
• Assist with loans, deposits, FX transactions and fund transfers
• Attend client meetings with senior RMs to support relationship development
• Provide loan and deposit rate quotations to corporate clients
• Monitor loan/deposit maturities and coordinate funding requirements
• Maintain customer and transaction data, management information and reporting
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures

Key requirements

• Native-level Japanese and business-level English
• Experience in banking, financial services, or corporate finance (preferred)
• Strong understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow)
• Knowledge of corporate banking products, deposits, loans, FX, and interest rates
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills
• Ability to work accurately in a regulated banking environment
