Senior Technical Coordinator/Technical Manager – Residential Developer

Overview

In this role you will support a leading Essex-based residential developer in delivering new build projects. You will coordinate technical design across disciplines, manage drawing packages, and ensure on-time delivery by working with the architectural team and cross-functional colleagues. You’ll interpret Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and sustainability requirements while identifying critical paths and coordinating programmes. This is a hands-on role with scope for career progression within a collaborative, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawing packages with the technical and architectural teams to ensure timely delivery
• Liaise with commercial and production teams during development to align on design and milestones
• Oversee detailed design for residential schemes across RC frame and traditional build
• Question and query design information across disciplines to ensure compliance and quality
• Interpret statutory requirements (Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, sustainability) and negotiate compliance
• Understand and interrogate project programmes, identifying critical paths
• Communicate across all disciplines at all levels and manage teams and processes
• Maintain high attention to detail and strong organizational control to meet project timelines

Key requirements

• Residential developer experience of 5+ years on multiple new build developments from inception to completion
• Strong knowledge of the development/technical design process
• Proven ability in detailed design for residential schemes (RC frame and traditional build)
• Ability to challenge design information across disciplines
• Architectural background; AutoCAD knowledge is beneficial
• Solid understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, and sustainability requirements
• Ability to interpret and negotiate compliance and manage project programmes (critical paths)
• Degree level education or relevant professional qualification
• Strong communication across disciplines and stakeholders
• Well organized with ability to manage people, processes and time
