Overview
In this role you will drive mechanical design for energy-from-waste and related technologies, shaping sustainable energy projects across the UK. You will work within the Waste & Generation team to deliver end-to-end engineering solutions that support the energy transition. You’ll engage in optioneering, feasibility, detailed design and site work, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to move projects from concept to installation. This is a chance to influence community-focused energy infrastructure and deliver high-impact schemes.

Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and technical investigations
- Develop mechanical designs, specifications and project-wide solutions
- Support production of drawings, 3D models, P&IDs, schedules and reports
- Prepare specifications and scoping documents for construction packages
- Review vendor designs and monitor progress
Key requirements
- Background in energy, power or process-plant sectors
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems (steam, piping, hydrogen, biomass or EfW technologies)
