Backend Software Engineer Python R&D

Overview

In this role you will contribute to a Greenfield cybersecurity product, delivering robust backend services and rapid prototyping in a fast-moving R&D environment. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to solve complex problems and apply the right technologies for each task. The position focuses on building scalable systems that defend against AI-based security threats and drive continuous improvement. You’ll work mostly with Python while integrating Rust and other languages as needed, in a cloud-enabled setup. Responsibilities

• Develop backend services primarily in Python for a Greenfield product
• Prototype new ideas rapidly and contribute to structured development of existing platforms
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers in a fast-paced development environment
• Leverage Rust, TypeScript and/or C++ as appropriate for the task
• Work in cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP) and follow software engineering best practices

Key requirements

• Advanced Python and backend software engineering experience
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP
• Some experience with Rust, TypeScript and/or C++
• Solid knowledge of software engineering best practices
• Degree educated in a STEM discipline
