Overview
In this role you will develop from an electrical engineer into a project engineering lead, with formal training in PLCs, switchgear and automation. You will support installation, commissioning and compliance for control systems across industrial and commercial contracts. Based from Kendal with local travel, you’ll liaise with customers and contribute to technical solutions and documentation. A structured development path and progression into higher‑level project delivery are built into day one.

Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical controls projects: installation, commissioning, and documentation for compliance
- Liaise with customers, propose technical solutions, and execute installs and commissioning
- Prepare drawings and compliance documentation for control systems and automation
- Work from Kendal with local travel across the South Lakes / North Lancashire area
- Support ongoing project delivery and site activities, with occasional out-of-hours work
Key requirements
- Relevant electrical engineering experience
- Industrial engineering, controls, automation and instrumentation experience or similar
- Full UK driver’s license
- Customer liaison
- Strong communication
- Problem-solving orientation
- Experience with industrial controls, automation and instrumentation
- Exposure to PLCs and switchgear
