Digital Project Controls – Senior/ Principal Consultant- Bristol, Birmingham & London

Overview

In this role you help clients transform portfolio, programme and project management by implementing Digital Controls software. You will work within the Digital Controls team to set up operating models, tailor P3M processes, and drive delivery of a cloud platform that integrates project controls and reporting. You’ll engage with cross‑functional teams on major infrastructure programmes, aiming to improve performance, value, and investment returns. Responsibilities

• Assess client environments and design a fit-for-purpose Digital Controls solution
• Lead development, implementation and optimization of project controls and performance strategies
• Implement the Digital Controls platform to enable an optimized PMO operating model
• Tailor P3M methodologies, processes, tools and systems and drive continuous improvement
• Produce reports and deliver recommendations across client engagements
• Deliver workshops with client representatives (virtual and in-person)
• Collaborate in diverse, multi-disciplinary teams on client sites and remotely
• Support business generation activities including bids and proposals and identify opportunities
• Assist with marketing and employee advocacy initiatives where appropriate

Key requirements

• Graduate calibre with relevant industry experience
• Experience leading development of project management or project controls processes and configuring Digital Controls solutions
• Experience across capital projects with multiple project controls functions (scope, schedule, cost, risk, reporting) in infrastructure
• Understanding of target operating models and organizational design for capital delivery, PMO, or integrated controls
• Experience with business transformations and change management
• Familiarity with capability/maturity assessments in capital delivery or PMO
• Literacy in MS Office/Teams and diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io)
• Analytical mindset with data manipulation/presentation skills (SQL, Power Query/Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
• Experience with project controls software in categories like take-off/estimating, scheduling, portfolio management, risk, etc.
• Experience with writing/presenting reports and stakeholder engagement; coding familiarity beneficial
• APM/PMI or similar certifications advantageous
