Overview

In this role you will manage the UK Real Estate Insurance programme and oversee related vendor performance, renewals, and onboarding/offboarding of assets. You will support risk and insurance guidance for corporate departments and drive improvements through data- driven reporting. The role sits within a client-centric, relationship-based business focused on risk management across real estate assets. You will shape cross-functional risk initiatives and integration, including potential European programme alignment, delivering tangible risk and cost benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new acquisitions and offboard disposals within the UK Real Estate Insurance programme
  • Run annual and quarterly renewal processes for property insurance
  • Place ad hoc policies as required (e.g., Contract Works, Legal Indemnities, Environmental)
  • Oversee key vendors (brokers, claims handlers, valuers) and drive service improvements via contract reviews
  • Manage the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) and develop reporting (loss ratio, rate benchmarking)
  • Provide risk and insurance advice to TAM Corporate departments in collaboration with Senior Director
  • Lead tender processes for Insurance & Risk Financing activities
  • Handle general insurance and risk management queries from solicitors, tenants, and managing agents
  • Support integration of the European Real Estate insurance programme where feasible
  • Promote risk management across client and operational properties

Key requirements

  • Experience of risk management and insurance in a financial services organisation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance products and policies
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, particularly for tender processes
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accurate financial/analytical reporting skills for renewal presentations
  • Open-minded and innovative thinker who challenges vendors to provide optimal service options
