Implementation Consultant Capital Markets

Overview

As Principal Implementation Consultant, you lead client-facing implementations of a sophisticated data management platform for capital markets. You interface with clients, demonstrate business proficiency, and manage expectations to ensure successful deployment. You will run projects independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing regular status updates to the Project Manager. This role offers meaningful responsibility with clear progression paths within a well-known team in Central London.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end project implementations across varying scales
• Interface with clients to convey value and manage expectations
• Ensure successful deployment of the software and deliverables
• Provide regular feedback to the Project Manager on assignment status
• Solve problems creatively and make confident decisions under pressure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining independence
• Support vendor collaboration and maintain project governance
• Contribute to data management platform implementations in capital markets

Key requirements

• BSc or MSc in IT, economics, maths, or finance
• Experience of software implementation
• Strong understanding of capital markets
• Experience working for a software vendor in the financial market
• Background in financial software such as Reutter Bloomberg, Markit, Goldensource, or SIX
• Client facing experience
• Basic SQL scripting
• 2 years commercial experience
• Understanding of data
