EMEA Cost Controller (Associate)

Overview

As an EMEA Cost Controller, you will drive cost visibility and efficiency for the regional and global tech and operations spend. You’ll partner with transformation and senior stakeholders to deliver accurate MI and insightful cost analyses that explain variances and drivers. You will own budgeting and forecasting cycles, improve reporting processes, and suggest data-driven improvements to processes and technology. This role sits in a firm-wide, risk-conscious finance culture focused on cost discipline and governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly global investment spend and related benefits, including MI and analytical schedules
• Act as a business partner to transformation office and other stakeholders
• Provide insightful data analysis to explain cost drivers and budget variances
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Handle ad-hoc data queries, one-off MI, and governance packs
• Develop new ideas for analysis, process improvements, and better use of technology
• Lead improvements in reporting processes and analytics for regional and global investments
• Oversee full financial management of regional technology and operations cost base, including offshore accounting support
• Provide management reporting on complex financial data and present findings clearly

Key requirements

• Financial analysis experience with cost management and MI reporting
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional partnership skills
• Ability to analyze complex data and produce concise management insights
• Experience creating governance packs and reporting for budgets and expenditures
• Proactive mindset with ability to propose process and technology improvements
• Ability to manage and report on regional cost bases, including offshore support
