Penetration Tester

Overview

In this role you will conduct end-to-end penetration testing engagements across web, API, infrastructure, cloud, and mobile environments, working directly with clients to scope, test, and report findings. You will help grow technical capabilities and contribute to proposals and client relationships. You’ll research emerging vulnerabilities and develop tooling to enhance tests, while delivering clear, actionable reports. This remote role requires occasional client travel and offers exposure to varied security challenges within a leading consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver penetration tests from scoping through reporting and client debriefs
• Test across web applications, APIs, infrastructure, networks, cloud and mobile environments
• Produce high-quality technical reports and present findings to clients
• Support engagement scoping, proposals and client relationships
• Research emerging vulnerabilities and develop tools/scripts to enhance testing

Key requirements

• Proven commercial experience within a penetration testing consultancy or professional services environment
• Strong experience across multiple areas of penetration testing
• Hands-on web/application and API testing experience
• Strong Burp Suite experience
• Infrastructure/network penetration testing experience
• Ability to independently manage client engagements
• Strong technical report writing and client-facing communication skills
• Cloud security testing experience
• Red Teaming experience
• Scripting/tool development
