Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead civil design across the full project lifecycle for water and wastewater schemes, shaping integration with other disciplines and ensuring buildable, compliant solutions. You’ll work closely with commercial, operational and construction teams to deliver value, quality and safety. The role offers exposure to major infrastructure programs and opportunities to mentor engineers while advancing toward chartership. Responsibilities

• Provide design support to ensure fit-for-purpose schemes meeting standards and legislation
• Collaborate with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop practical, safe solutions across design and build phases
• Engage with clients to manage relationships and support project aims in a one-team approach
• Manage interfaces and integration of civil design with other disciplines and produce associated documentation
• Act as technical checker and perform reviews on project documents
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery through standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools
• Conduct site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems
• Support development of the civil engineering team through coaching and resource planning

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
• Experience delivering high-quality outputs in line with design, quality and safety standards
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical problem-solving approach
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region
• Water/wastewater experience
