Overview

Join EY Belfast in the UK&I Consulting Quality Team to support the application of EY policies and drive high-quality, compliant service delivery. You will help manage contractual, operational, and regulatory risk across consulting engagements, working with Legal, Independence and risk teams. Your work will shape risk controls, contract governance, and continuous improvement of quality processes. This role offers meaningful impact by strengthening risk management across client engagements and commercial activity.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide advisory input on client agreements, SOWs, subcontracts and NDAs
• Support contract negotiations in line with EY policies and guidelines
• Guide terms, confidentiality, data protection, relationships, liability, subcontracting, third-party risk and independence considerations
• Act as a point of contact for contractual and operational risk management queries
• Identify, assess and manage operational and regulatory risks in client engagements
• Escalate complex risk/issues to General Counsel and specialist teams
• Support regulatory independence considerations during contracting activities
• Assist with deployment of risk management projects and mitigation programmes
• Collaborate with Legal, Independence, Business Resilience and Quality teams
• Design, implement and improve quality and risk management practices
• Propose enhancements to quality processes, contracting practices and efficiency

Key requirements

• Experience reviewing and interpreting commercial contracts and terms
• Understanding of UK contracting principles
• Experience managing operational, contractual or regulatory risk in a professional services or legal environment
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex risk and contract matters with sound commercial judgement
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk and Compliance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
