Health & Safety Manager

Overview

As Health & Safety Manager, you will lead health and safety across a flagship Berkshire project, guiding project management, site teams and subcontractors toward the highest standards. You will provide strong leadership to the H&S team and ensure compliance with UK regulations. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining safe operations on a large, complex site and help shape safety culture across the project. This role offers impact at scale within a well-established contractor delivering high-profile data centre/M&E work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project-wide health and safety strategy and implementation
• Collaborate with project management, site teams, subcontractors and senior stakeholders
• Ensure delivery of the highest health and safety standards on site
• Provide leadership and guidance to the project H&S team
• Monitor compliance with UK health and safety legislation and construction regulations

Key requirements

• Proven Health & Safety Manager experience in a major construction environment
• Data centre and/or M&E experience
• Ability to lead and manage a project H&S team
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and construction regulations
• IOSH qualification
• NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Health & Safety
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Experience on large, complex, high-profile projects
