Cyber Security Engineer

Overview

As Security Engineer in the Cyber Defence Centre, you protect DLG’s environment by applying security tooling and services with rigorous technical and governance controls. You’ll work with developers to improve secure CI pipelines and ensure changes align with security architecture and regulatory standards. The role combines hands-on tooling, incident handling, and technical SME leadership to strengthen our threat protection and SIEM coverage. You’ll engage with suppliers and project leads to communicate processes, timelines, and security delivery across programs. This is an opportunity to drive secure transformation in a globally distributed setting with cutting-edge security tech.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall security integrity of DLG’s environment
• Enhance secure CI pipelines in collaboration with developers
• Deliver projects and changes aligned to security architecture and information security fundamentals
• Act as technical SME for securing DLG’s environments and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Configure security platforms to optimize protection
• Improve SIEM coverage across DLG’s environment
• Review and approve production changes
• Develop technical security standards aligned with network security architecture, ISMRs, PCI/DSS and regulatory requirements
• Hands-on enhancement of MS security tools (Defender, Purview, Zero Trust) and incident handling
• Communicate complex technical concepts with suppliers, project managers and programme leads
