Residential Property Lawyer – Solicitors or CILEx Lawyers

Overview

As a Residential Property Lawyer, you will manage a caseload from inception to completion, handling sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and lease extensions. You will provide clear legal advice and maintain high service standards for clients and colleagues in a reputable Kent private practice. You will conduct legal research, draft documentation, and coordinate with clients, agents and solicitors. You will stay updated on property law to ensure compliant guidance. This role offers the opportunity to develop in a supportive, diverse team while contributing to high-quality conveyancing in the South East.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of residential property matters from inception to completion (sales/purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions)
• Providing expert legal advice and ensuring high quality service
• Conducting legal research, drafting documentation, and liaising with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors
• Drafting contracts, conducting property searches, and handling all aspects of property transactions
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, estate agents, and other professionals
• Staying updated with changes in property laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accurate advice

Key requirements

• Qualified lawyer with NQ-6 years PQE in Residential Conveyancing
• Strong knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures, Kent region
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport
• Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines
