Overview

In this role you will design, develop and maintain a pricing analytical library in Java for a leading investment management vendor. You will work within a larger development team on a cloud-enabled, microservices platform for the Institutional & Investment Management division. The role emphasizes building robust Java web applications, supporting pricing and derivatives work, and delivering reliable software in a fast-paced financial services environment. You will partner with cross-functional teams to learn client businesses and drive impactful technical solutions. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, review code and support Java-based web applications for payments and pricing systems
• Provide expert technical support for urgent troubleshooting
• Train team members to ensure high-quality deliverables and timely resolutions
• Acquire knowledge of client businesses to tailor solutions
• Learn and contribute to the global payments platform
• Maintain and evolve the main pricing analytical library in Java

Key requirements

• Strong Java capabilities, web and relational database expertise
• Experience with unit, integration and load testing
• Full lifecycle development on Linux
• Spring, Spring MVC, REST Web Services and Git
• Solid understanding of Java, Spring, UI design and design patterns
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Unix/Linux operating system knowledge
• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps fundamentals
