Learning and Development Coordinator

Overview

In this role you will own Park Royal site’s L&D activity end-to-end, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. You will design and deliver training from inductions to leadership development, coach the site Trainers, and support a diverse workforce to become confident and engaged. You’ll manage planning, reporting, supplier budgets, and audits, while representing L&D across the site and externally. This is a hands-on, impact-focused opportunity at a fast-moving manufacturing site that values people development.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering training across the site from inductions to senior development
• Leading and coaching the site’s Operational Trainers
• Ensuring high-standard day-one inductions and onboarding
• Engaging with a diverse, multicultural workforce and tailoring training for non-native English speakers
• Running training planning and reporting infrastructure (including Excel)
• Maintaining audit readiness for customer and regulatory visits
• Managing external training suppliers, budgets, and reporting
• Being a visible L&D brand ambassador on site and externally

Key requirements

• Proven track record as an L&D coordinator (ideally in food manufacturing, retail, or similar shift-based setting)
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach with a willingness to roll up sleeves
• Confident in designing and delivering training
• Strong communicator across a diverse workforce and culturally aware
• Experience leading or coordinating site-based trainers
• Strong Excel skills and ability to use LMS data to drive decisions
• Audit-savvy and comfortable in high-standards environments
• Relevant training qualification (Train the Trainer, PTLLS, or equivalent) desirable
