Overview

Join AECOM’s Scotland Water Team to help shape sustainable water systems at scale. You will contribute to end-to-end design delivery on high-impact Scottish projects and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive innovative, net-zero aligned solutions. This role offers exposure to major programmes like SR27 Enterprise and the Scottish Water Capital Programme, with meaningful community impact across Scotland and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the full cycle of project design from inception to detailed design
• Contribute to design and delivery of water infrastructure (pipelines, pumping stations, sewer upgrades)
• Support flood resilience and blue/green infrastructure initiatives
• Engage in climate resilience and low-carbon design (gravity-fed systems, renewable tech)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and digital teams to provide integrated solutions
• Work on remote and rural delivery with environmental sensitivity
• Contribute to hydro nation innovation and pilot validation activities
• Support major water/wastewater projects across the UK and internationally

Key requirements

• Engineering degree (or equivalent) in civil, electrical, mechanical or structural
• Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design
• Knowledge and experience in the water sector
