DevOps Engineer – FinTech – AWS

Overview

As a DevOps Engineer in a greenfield fintech project, you will help build scalable cloud infrastructure and pipelines that power a novel consumer rewards platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy and operate a data-driven service that supports merchant offers and time-based rewards. You’ll implement infrastructure as code, enhance observability, and enable self-service data access for other departments. This role combines hands-on cloud engineering with strategic impact, in a relaxed yet high-performance environment in Central London.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain cloud infrastructure scripts with infrastructure as code
• Debug and resolve production operational issues
• Ensure monitoring and log collection, add instrumentation as needed
• Create and maintain ETL data pipelines and data projections for self-service data access
• Collaborate on a greenfield project with another team building a mobile app

Key requirements

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, Route53, RDS, ElastiCache, ElasticSearch, Athena, Glue, Redshift) or equivalent cloud platforms
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation or Terraform, Ansible, Chef)
• Experience with active monitoring and auto-scaling (DataDog, CloudWatch)
