Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role you will help establish and lead a new civil engineering capability in Bristol, delivering drainage design, flood risk assessments, and infrastructure schemes. You will work with clients, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams to drive high-profile projects while mentoring junior engineers as the team grows. The position offers long-term progression within a well-established, reputable consultancy. You will shape the Bristol office’s civil engineering direction and contribute to ongoing growth and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering projects across commercial, residential and infrastructure developments
• Produce drainage designs, drainage strategies and flood risk assessments
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and external stakeholders
• Prepare technical reports, calculations and design information
• Work on Section 38 and Section 278 agreements
• Mentor junior engineers as the Bristol team expands

Key requirements

• Civil Engineering consultancy experience
• Experience with drainage design and development infrastructure
• Knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments and Civils 3D
• Commercial development project experience
• Full UK Driving Licence
