Overview

In this Associate role, you will deliver high-quality employment law guidance and manage a varied caseload. You’ll advise on status, contracts, handbooks, redundancy and discrimination, and support clients with HR matters. You’ll handle Employment Tribunal work from early conciliation to appeal and represent clients in tribunals and mediations. You’ll also research, draft articles, and help refine policies while contributing to business development. Responsibilities

  • Advise on employment status, rights, contracts, handbooks, redundancy and discrimination
  • Provide commercial and sensitive HR support to clients and in-house HR teams
  • Manage Employment Tribunal claims from ACAS Early Conciliation through to appeal
  • Represent clients in Tribunals, mediations and other dispute resolution forums
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice
  • Support corporate transactions and cross-departmental matters
  • Draft articles and stay updated on employment law developments
  • Collaborate with PSLs and Paralegals to refine policies, contracts and templates
  • Participate in business development and strengthen client relationships

Key requirements

  • 1-5 years’ PQE in employment law
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law
  • Experience handling complex employment matters and Tribunal work
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Confidence managing a varied caseload independently
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Proactive, organized and commercially aware
