Overview

Design Engineer in Birmingham delivering high‑quality fire suppression designs for regional projects. You will join the Fire Suppression Design Team with initial office focus and later hybrid work, engaging in site surveys and client meetings. Responsibilities

• Interpret and develop customer design requirements
• Ensure design schedules align with approval, fabrication, and construction deadlines
• Collaborate with sales and contract managers on specifications and installation requirements
• Complete Design Risk Assessments
• Maintain regular, clear communication with clients
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover from sales through to completion

Key requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with sprinkler/fire suppression systems
• AutoCAD
• Ability to interpret design drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and IT skills
• Preferred: experience with 3D Revit
