Solicitor/FCILEX – Inheritance & Trust Disputes – Exeter-5+ PQE

Overview

In this role, you will handle a varied, high-value contentious private client caseload within a respected Exeter law firm. You will work closely with senior experts to resolve disputes around wills, estate administration, and trust issues, contributing to complex litigation and advisory work. You will support junior team members and help drive business development initiatives. Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of contentious trusts and probate matters
• Advise on claims under the Inheritance Act 1975, will validity, and estate administration disputes
• Handle breach of trust and capacity/undue influence issues
• Address disputes involving cohabiting or separating unmarried couples and draft cohabitation agreements
• Support junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives

Key requirements

• 5+ years PQE in contentious trusts and probate or strong litigation experience with a desire to specialise
• Excellent technical, drafting, and analytical skills
• Strong client management and relationship-building abilities
