Senior AI Tech Consultant – Public Sector – Oracle HCM – London | BCG Platinion

Overview

As a Senior IT Consultant, you help drive digital transformations for UK public sector clients, delivering large-scale Oracle HCM and technology-enabled programs. You will work within the Public Sector Transformation team to shape strategy, design architectures, and oversee implementation and data migration. You’ll collaborate with government and healthcare leaders to enable secure, scalable platforms and modern IT foundations. This role offers hands-on impact, mentorship, and opportunities to advance BCG Platinion’s technology-driven mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to technology transformation programmes for UK public sector clients (NHS, Government, MOD, MOJ, Local/Central Government)
• Deliver Oracle Cloud HCM implementations (Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, Recruiting) and related design, testing, and data migration
• Manage parts of projects, ensure quality, risk control, and client expectations; support proposals and client care
• Coach junior team members and guide client technology teams; foster agile and modern IT delivery approaches
• Contribute to practice area development and strengthen BCG brand within case teams

Key requirements

• 6–10 years in technology transformation programmes, esp. in UK public sector
• Prior consulting experience focused on technology/digital initiatives and large-scale transformations
• Hands-on systems implementation, testing, and data migration; Oracle HCM expertise
• Strong understanding of NHS or central government delivery frameworks
• Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery environments
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Willingness to travel within the UK
• University degree in Computer Science or IT-related field
