Cybersecurity Engineer – Cloud

Overview

In this role, you will support cybersecurity integration for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring secure transitions and integrations. You’ll work within Visa’s Security Team to enhance security across cloud and on‑prem environments, translating risks into actionable business requirements. You will partner with IT and other business units to embed security into technology and operations, and help build automation for vulnerability management and reporting. This hybrid London-based role offers impact at scale within a global payments ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat and risk analysis and contribute to mitigation strategies
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices
• Improve security posture of entities hosted in public cloud or on-prem environments
• Translate security requirements into business terms and communicate risks to leaders and engineers
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security into technology and operations
• Develop infrastructure and platform to automate vulnerability management and security reporting

Key requirements

• 2+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience
• 3+ years experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master)
• 3+ years experience with cloud security services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Programming experience (Python)
• 5+ years of work experience in Cloud security
• Experience deploying secure infrastructure into cloud environments
• Strong understanding of network, application, and system security
• AWS Security Specialty certification
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience securing Kubernetes services
• Extensive knowledge of OWASP Web Top 10 and CWE Top 25
