Mechanical Engineer

Overview

In this role you will shape the mechanical design of water and wastewater projects, guiding them from concept through handover. You’ll work within cross-functional teams to ensure robust, safe, and compliant solutions that meet programme and budget targets. You’ll engage with clients and other stakeholders to align on goals and deliver meaningful environmental impact. Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design for water and wastewater projects from outline to handover, including P&IDs, valve schedules, pump calculations, and above-ground layouts
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Geotech, and Process teams to meet programme, budget, and quality requirements
• Collaborate with commercial, operational, and construction teams to devise efficient, practical, and safe design solutions across project stages
• Engage with clients and adopt a one-team approach to support client aims

Key requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Working towards IEng/CEng with a recognized Engineering Institution
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical problem-solving approach
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region
