Project Manager – LUL and Civil Rail – South East & London

Overview

In this role you will lead delivery of rail civil projects within the Minor Works Framework, LUL Projects and Network Rail scopes. You’ll work from our London and Bedfordshire offices, coordinating on-site activities, safety, and quality to keep works on program and budget. You will shape health and safety plans, risk assessments, and temporary works, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders. This is a hands-on, leadership-focused position that values strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maximise team effectiveness. You’ll contribute to a safety-conscious culture while supporting development opportunities and project outcomes on high-profile rail schemes.

Responsibilities

• Control safety, quality and environmental activities
• Site supervision
• Delivery of works to program and budget
• Produce Health & Safety plans and Work Package Plans
• Write Risk Assessments
• Manage Temporary Works
• Pre-start site inspections
• Planning (road closures and possessions)
• Toolbox talks & HSEQ briefings
• Provide plant & materials
• Client liaison

Key requirements

• Experience on civil engineering projects within a rail environment
• HNC in Civil Engineering
• CSCS card
• PTS (Personal Track Safety)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maximise team performance
