Overview
In this role you will drive land-led development by securing land and development contracts, negotiating legal documents, and guiding planning with external consultants. You will report to a board Director overseeing land, development and planning, and work across partnerships, regeneration schemes, and privately built projects. You’ll manage planning submissions, viability reports, and S106/CIL related work while maintaining strong solicitor liaison. The position offers progression in a nimble, well-regarded developer with a competitive package and clear career progression. This is a high-impact role for shaping a portfolio of schemes in a challenging market.
Responsibilities
- Manage process of securing land/development contracts after bids or tenders (Land Agreement, Option Agreement, Development Agreement, Agreement for Lease) and related legal docs
- Liaise with solicitors to negotiate and finalize legal documents
- Support bids and tenders and advise on potential development risk items and mitigations
- Oversee planning permission submissions (S73s/S96s)
- Coordinate with planning consultants, architects and other consultants to ensure viable planning outcomes
- Oversee viability assessment reports
- Negotiate and manage S106 agreements and related planning obligations
- Manage all ROL, CIL relief and related works
