Partner – Corporate – Bristol

Overview

As Corporate Partner in our Bristol office, you will lead and grow the corporate practice, shaping the firm’s South West offering. You will drive strategic growth, manage complex transactions, and mentor junior lawyers while building strong client relationships. This role combines leadership with hands-on advisory on M&A, private equity, restructures and shareholder matters. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality service and expand the firm’s regional footprint. Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the corporate practice in the Bristol office
• Manage and supervise a broad range of corporate transactions
• Advise on M&A, private equity, joint ventures, restructures and shareholder arrangements
• Drive business development and contribute to strategic growth
• Build and maintain client relationships across multiple sectors
• Collaborate with commercial, employment, real estate and disputes teams
• Provide leadership, mentoring and support to junior lawyers
• Uphold high professional standards, compliance and quality of service

Key requirements

• Senior corporate lawyer with partner-level experience or readiness for partnership
• Following or strong network in the Bristol/South West market (ideal but not essential)
• Proven ability to generate and develop client relationships
• Strong technical knowledge across corporate transactions
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, commercial and strategic mindset
• Confidence handling complex matters independently
