Overview

In this role you will develop and implement process safety capabilities to ensure safe, reliable plant operations. You will deliver safety programs, tools, trainings, and assessments aligned with company practices, working with cross-functional teams to raise standards. You’ll tackle risk assessments, incident investigations, and change management to drive safer, compliant operations. This position offers a chance to shape process safety culture in a large, international food and bioindustrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for standard operations and projects in process safety
  • Guide complex operations and implement solutions to improve safety and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply process safety tools and best practices
  • Complete process risk assessments (PRAs) and related actions on schedule
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams for MoC input, incident investigations, risk assessments, LoPAs
  • Establish accountability measures and reporting for automated tools and systems
  • Handle complex issues with minimal supervision; escalate only the most complex cases
  • Other duties as assigned

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment in a process safety engineering role
  • Experience with process risk analysis, risk assessment, hazard studies, root cause analysis
  • Preferred: experience in engineering/technical operations and process safety management, knowledge of leading practices in process safety management
