Head of Procurement

Overview

As Head of Procurement, lead and shape the organization’s procurement and supplier management across a regulated landscape. You will drive strategy, resilience, and value, guiding cross-functional teams and engaging Board-level stakeholders. This role offers the chance to influence governance, risk, and ESG outcomes while delivering measurable savings. You will shape a critical function within a regulated, complex third-party environment and partner with senior leadership to realise strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the procurement and supplier management strategy
• Lead high-performing teams across procurement and supplier governance
• Drive best practice in sourcing, contracts, supplier risk, and vendor performance
• Support operational resilience, regulatory compliance and ESG objectives
• Influence senior executives and Board stakeholders on procurement and risk decisions
• Deliver measurable savings, value and continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Significant procurement leadership experience within a regulated environment
• Expertise across procurement, outsourcing, supplier management and commercial contracting
• Strong knowledge of third-party risk, operational resilience and regulatory governance
• Experience leading transformation and high-performing teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Strategic mindset with ability to influence at Executive/Board level
• CIPS qualification (or equivalent) desirable
