Kubernetes Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will help build and evolve the GitOps-driven, Kubernetes-based remote development environments used by researchers and engineers. You will shape user-friendly developer platforms, improve delivery pipelines, and harden security for our workspaces. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable environments that accelerate discovery. Responsibilities

• Build stable, user-friendly developer environments for customers
• Enhance end-user experience through design and usability improvements
• Improve platform and delivery pipelines with continuous enhancements
• Design features addressing security requirements for the developer environment
• Act as a product evangelist, gather user feedback, provide support, and handle feature requests

Key requirements

• Strong willingness to learn and solve challenges in unfamiliar areas
• Extensive experience with Linux
• Production-grade Kubernetes administration (clusters, operators/CRDs)
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts: containers/resources, RBAC, networking
• Scripting proficiency (Bash or Python)
• Experience with Git/GitHub and Artifactory for source/binary management
• Proficiency with CI/CD and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Bamboo, ArgoCD); GitOps and IaC awareness
