Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse Court of Protection caseload including applications, deputyship appointments, and financial management
• Provide expert advice and representation in proceedings to safeguard vulnerable clients’ interests
• Oversee preparation and submission of deputyship applications
• Collaborate with clients, families and financial institutions on financial affairs for those lacking capacity
• Stay updated on developments in mental capacity law and Court of Protection practice to advise on compliance and risks

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with a focus on Court of Protection matters
• Experience handling a range of Court of Protection cases
• Strong knowledge of mental capacity legislation and related frameworks
