Overview

In this role you apply quantitative methods to tackle high-impact business problems in Securities Services and Payments. You will collaborate with the business to develop AI/ML analytics, handle large data sets, and optimize net interest income under liquidity and balance sheet constraints. You’ll work cross-functionally to deliver scalable data solutions and data-driven recommendations. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge cloud capabilities and real-world problem solving with a clear impact on revenue and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop AI/ML analytics and automation to align with business goals
  • Build scalable data architectures for high-volume transaction data
  • Automate manual processes and create tools to improve decision making and deposit management
  • Create sequential decision-making tools to optimize net interest income under liquidity, capital, and balance sheet constraints
  • Lead end-to-end projects from ideation to prototype, data processing, and model development
  • Present commercial recommendations to stakeholders and communicate insights with data visualization
  • Collaborate with Quantitative Research, CIB Treasury, CIO, and CDAO to advance the CIB data strategy

Key requirements

  • Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in a quantitative field
  • Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and mathematics
  • Experience solving real-world data science problems end-to-end (prototype to production) using Python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for non-technical audiences
