Overview
In this role you will design, develop and test RF systems for satellite communications, contributing to next-generation orbital missions. You’ll join a fast-moving, highly skilled engineering team and work on RF technology from concept to flight. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance. This position offers the chance to shape space-grade RF solutions and stay at the cutting edge of the field.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF systems and components for satellite platforms
- Support link budgets, frequency planning, and system-level RF performance analysis
- Integrate and test RF subsystems including antennas, filters, amplifiers, and transceivers
- Collaborate with digital and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration
- Conduct lab-based and on-orbit RF performance testing and troubleshooting
- Prepare technical documentation and support project reviews
- Keep up to date with industry trends and regulatory standards in satellite communications
Key requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related discipline
- Strong experience with RF design for satellite or aerospace applications
- Familiarity with RF simulation tools (e.g. CST, HFSS, ADS) and lab test equipment (e.g. VNAs, spectrum analysers)
- Knowledge of satellite link budgets, modulation schemes, and spectrum allocation
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
