Responsibilities

• Assess and manage risk in complex and urgent cases
• Provide professional advice and guidance to other agencies
• Supervise and support team members
• Ensure high standards of practice and accurate record keeping
• Contribute to service development and improvement

Key requirements

• Current registration with Social Work England
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions
• Knowledge of assessment methods, care management and casework
• Experience of statutory work in childcare/child protection
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with children, young people and families
