Overview

As Senior Specialist, Account Management in London, you drive growth with our Enterprise merchants in the UK by delivering expert payment guidance and strategic advisory. You will act as the voice of Checkout and a trusted partner, shaping global payments strategies, expanding wallet share, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure an outstanding merchant experience. This role combines relationship leadership with data-driven decision making to deliver sustainable, win-win outcomes that scale with our fintech mission.

Responsibilities

  • Grow a portfolio of enterprise merchants by identifying expansion opportunities and cross/upsellCheckout’s value-added services and other levers
  • Craft and execute merchant-specific account development plans with clear growth paths
  • Build high-touch, consultative relationships through regular, open communications (in person and virtual)
  • Deliver expert guidance to merchants as a payment consultant crafting a comprehensive global payments strategy
  • Negotiate pricing structures by analyzing merchant revenue drivers to achieve sustainable outcomes for both merchant and Checkout
  • Track merchant project deliverables and keep CRM tools (Salesforce, Clari, and others) up to date
  • Understand our products, services, and partner networks to meet growing merchant needs
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Integration, Support to ensure an outstanding merchant experience and voice of the customer
  • Use data-driven decision making to provide meaningful, metric-driven insights to merchants
  • Foster cross-team learning and improve ways of working, influencing how we operate

Key requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial experience in a B2B Account Management or Relationship Management role in FinTech/payments
  • Proven track record of driving and exceeding revenue targets and managing strategic account portfolios
  • Experience in negotiating and pricing strategy deals specific to the UK market
  • Good knowledge of today’s major e-commerce payments, technologies, players and future trends
  • Customer-driven approach with ability to establish robust relationships with assigned customers
