Overview

In this AI Engineer role, you will design, develop and deliver AI and data solutions for clients in Deloitte’s AI Scaling and Transformation team. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across Deloitte and client organisations to create data-driven programmes that unlock business value. You’ll own end-to-end ML workflows, from model development to deployment, while researching new technologies to continuously improve solutions. This role offers hands-on impact in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment with a strong focus on responsible AI and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI and data solutions for clients
• Own end-to-end ML workflows: data prep, model development, validation and deployment
• Support deployment, performance, security and regulatory compliance of AI systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery and integration
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and promote a culture of learning and delivery excellence
• Research emerging technologies and apply them to improve solution effectiveness

Key requirements

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence or related discipline
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML solutions in business or research settings
• Experience with data-driven projects in regulated or data-rich industries (advantageous)
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP or equivalent and related AI/ML/cloud topics desirable
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python or R) and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost)
• Experience with end-to-end ML workflows and deployment to production
• Knowledge of cloud deployment and MLOps, model monitoring and retraining
• Understanding of Responsible AI concepts and ability to communicate results to technical/non-technical audiences
