Acquisition Program Support Specialist

Overview

In this role you will oversee the execution of acquisition programs, coordinating across functional teams, subcontractors, and customers to meet scope, schedule, and budget. You will support performance, resource management, risk mitigation, and compliance, guiding teams and ensuring efficient program operations. You’ll work with program leadership to shape plans, budgets, and execution, while communicating clearly with stakeholders. This is a hands-on, leadership-facing role with impact on multi-disciplinary programs and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day program activities as Site Lead reporting to the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager
• Coordinate across engineering, technical, and operational teams for integrated solutions
• Monitor or assist with program performance (cost, schedule, technical) and coordinate corrective actions with PM/DPM
• Support development and execution of program plans, schedules, and budgets
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; maintain risk registers and mitigation strategies
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including customers, leadership, and technical teams
• Conduct program analysis and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency, acquisition strategy, and resource allocation
• Monitor subcontractor performance on site and report issues to PM/DPM; author SOWs for subcontractor performance
• Manage a large CPFF contract with operations management, financial support, and contracts/subcontracts officers
• Facilitate meetings, working groups and IPTs to ensure effective cross-organizational communication and collaboration
• Developed and maintained acquisition documentation, program schedules, risk management plans, briefing materials, and status reports

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-domain programs
• Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes (systems engineering, software development, or hardware integration)
• Proven ability to track cost, schedule, and performance metrics
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
